Kyocera Wins Big at 2016 BTA Channel Choice Awards

Mon May 29, 2023 | Base Technologies

KYOCERA Document Solutions America was the big winner of this year’s Business Technology Association (BTA) Channel Choice Awards, taking home a total of five awards including the evening’s highest honor, the Superior Performance–Primary Vendor.

The award presentations were part of BTA’s 90th anniversary gala held in Kansas City’s spectacular Union Station. Guests included executives from many of the industry’s best known manufacturers, suppliers, and financial services  organizations, as well as dealerships from across the country.

“We are extremely proud, honored and humbled to be recognized by BTA and the entire dealer community,” said Mark O’Hara, Vice President of Business Planning at KYOCERA Document Solutions America. “Receiving this award at this milestone event is especially gratifying.”

Over the last several years, Kyocera has amassed many industry accolades for its technological innovations, continuously pushing the standards of the ever-changing document imaging sector. However, the BTA awards hold special meaning because they represent the trust and approval of  the independent dealer community.

“Our goal is to be the industry’s most dealer-focused company,” said Yukio Ikeda, longtime executive and new president and CEO of KYOCERA Document Solutions America. “To be honored by the dealer community is validation  of everything we stand for.”

Kyocera picked up four other Channel Choice awards, topping the nationwide balloting in Corporate Support, Distribution, Product Line, and Inventory Performance.

“Since 1989, BTA has been recognizing vendors deemed most supportive of the dealer channel,” said BTA National  President Dave Quint. “We congratulate Kyocera for distinguishing itself among its competitors.”
